The Citrix AppDNA Team has created a workspace in Podio to build a community, share scripts and ideas, and to help extend the capabilities of AppDNA.
You’ll first need a Podio account, which will need to be added to the Citrix AppDNA Extensions Workspace. At the time of this posting the only way this can be done is by the administrators of that workspace. If you contact your Citrix Sales Rep or SE, they can forward your request internally. You may also be able to request this from me and I can do the same.
Once you have access you can either go to the Citrix AppDNA Extensions workspace within Podio, or use the following URL: https://citrix.podio.com/appdna-extensions-customers
The Activity stream is the default page.

Select Extensions to change to the Extensions page where you can Download and Upload scripts.

Here you can see that so far only Execution Profiles have been added to this public site. However, you can add up to six (6) different types of extensions:
- Execution Profile
- Forward Path scripts
- VBS Scripts
- Custom Reports
- Custom Algorithms
- Install-Capture VM parameters
All you need to do is select Add Extensions and away you go.

What is the purpose of using Podio?
- Build a community around the AppDNA product. As you can see, Podio provides plenty of ways to discuss, comment, contribute, etc. It is primarily a professional social networking site for teams.
- Provide a way to share useful scripts between members of the community – Citrix, partners, customers, etc. No need to re-invent the wheel if someone has already written something that does what you need. I also think it is useful to see the comments from someone else who may already have tried out a script you have your eye on – comments like “it works really well” are valuable, but also “it only works if you have version x of product y installed” can save someone else a lot of time and effort. There is also a star ranking system that you can put on each of the files.
- Extend the capabilities of AppDNA into niche areas that Citrix may not be able to focus on whilst developing and improving features for mainstream use.
